At Autism Camp Australia, we aim to make our camps as accessible as possible by offering clear pricing structures and supporting families to explore funding options.
Camp Costs
We understand that the cost of attending camp may seem significant, and we want to provide transparency about how these costs are structured. Autism Camp Australia is a registered charity delivering a highly specialised service.
Our camps are designed to meet the unique needs of Autistic young people and their families. This includes employing experienced support workers trained not only in Autism but in neuroaffirming approaches that respect and celebrate neurodiversity. Additionally, our extensive enrolment process allows us to gather critical information about each Autistic Young Person (AYP) and their family, ensuring our team is fully prepared to provide the best possible support and experience. As a charity, we reinvest into our programs to continually improve their quality and accessibility.
The total cost for each camp reflects the resources required to deliver a safe, supportive, and impactful experience for families:
Registration Fee: $560
- This is an out-of-pocket expense paid at the start of the registration process. It is not covered by NDIS funding.
Program Costs:
- Base cost for a family with one Autistic Young Person (AYP): $9,947.
For families with more than one AYP attending the AYP Program: an additional $4,873 per extra AYP.
Most families use their child’s NDIS plan to pay for the program costs, which align with the funding goals in their plan.

Using NDIS Funding
Families can use their NDIS funding for the program costs under:
- Core – Assistance with Daily Life
- Core – Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation
- Capacity Building – Increased Social and Community Participation
- Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living
Our team will provide the necessary documentation for invoicing and claims and can assist with any questions about NDIS funding usage.
Carer Organisations and Additional Funding Support
Families may also be eligible for additional funding through carer support organisations such as Carer Gateway.
Carer Gateway Tailored Support Packages can be used for:
Planned respite, including attendance at Autism Camp Australia.
Other supports to help you in your caring role.

If you reside in regional Queensland, you may also wish to contact BUSHKids for additional funding opportunities. These organisations often assist with deposits or partial funding for eligible families. Visit their website at www.bushkids.org.au.
Payment Options
We strive to make payment as straightforward as possible. Options include:
NDIS Funding: Families typically use their child’s NDIS plan to cover program costs. We will work directly with plan managers or provide invoices for self-managed participants.
Private Payment: Families without access to NDIS funding are welcome to pay privately.
